Moonbow
[‘moon - boh]
Noun
A meteorological phenomenon in which the Sun's light is reflected off the Moon and refracted by water particles in the air, creating what is also known as a Lunar Rainbow. Moonbows sometimes appear as white light to the naked eye, but through a photographic lens - a shift of perspective - one can see the full-color spectrum.
What it means to us.
Moonbow sits at the intersection of four disciplines — each one a different angle on the same questions: why do people do what they do, and what does it take to lead with that understanding?
Science. Applied behavior analysis and organizational behavior management. The rigorous study of why behavior happens and what environments produce it.
Service. Twenty years across The Ritz-Carlton, 1 Hotels, and independent luxury properties. The craft of building cultures where standards hold because the environment makes them hold — not because someone is watching.
Nature. Biomimicry and ecological thinking. Living systems have been solving the problems organizations keep recreating. The principles transfer exactly.
Presence. The gap between stimulus and response. The quality of a leader's attention is an environmental variable — one of the most powerful, and the least discussed.
